In the Southern Hemisphere we are approaching the Spring Equinox. Traditionally this a is period of unsettled weather, but this year spring came in August, one month early in New Zealand. In Wellington the traditional bonfire is to be held at the Rainbow Community in South Karori. The Mexican rainbow gathering was formally titled the “Intergalactic rainbow experience”. It was held between 24th of November 2007 and the 21st of February 2008 at El Desengano, near Las Choapas, Veracruz.

The site was on the Nanchital River downstream of the confluence with a tributary variously known as a “blue river” or “crystal light river”. The Rainbow Family and its antecedents in New Zealand.

The 1960s were characterised by a wide-spread rejection of existing values and beliefs by western youth.
