My heart and passion is in the North West. I'm sure it's because it's where I was born. But the Colorado Rockies are right there. You are really on top of the world.
First ski lessons, smile.
Yes things are well here. We are sharing the ups and downs of life in the best way we know; reaching out and holding on to each other.
I say enjoy the rest of winter. Summer will be here soon enough. Hugs.
jersey girl huh, bit of a change for ya for sure. i had a friend though take off to portland oregon last year. christina pelli, shot in the dark that you might know here but worth a try. i have heard portland is an awesome place with a lot of good people. i dont know if im gonna stay in co this summer thought bout either oregon or alaska actually. i have alot of friends that go up to homer for the summer and chill on the beach. easy to find a summer job up there with it being such a big fishing town. Playing in the snow is definitely the shit, i grew up around the cohutta wilderness in northwest ga, still have a very deep connection to those hills, but needed something bigger.down there its crazy if we get an inch or so and if two then the whole town shuts down haha alot different out here. I had never been out here to see the rockies and then a buddy told me he could get me job here but i had to be out here in two days, so given i dont really own too much stuff, threw it all in a bag and hopped on a plane. the mtns out here are something very special, and despite the cold being conscious of the fact that this is mother nature in one of her most raw forms puts me back perpetually. best decision i have ever made comin out here. the legalization is coming i do believe. all the stereotyping and propaganda behind marijuana is being put into focus by the medical aspect. it will happen, i dont know when though. and yeah i have heard of the personal marijuana being legal in breck, but havent experienced it first hand, heard though that anyone can just walk into a dispensary and get nugs. which is awesome. i dont see that happenin in vail, before it will happen in the whole state though. just because of all the rich folks and vail being the biggest resort in america, unfortunately they are kind of caught up on appearances to a degree. and if yall make it around vail, ur welcome to give the skiin a try out here got the best slopes in NA and 5200 acres of trails.
It would have been another great Rainbow story.
The famaliar energy you feel in me is probably a reflection of Kid Village. I've been plugged into the "Heart of the Heart" ever since that gathering in PA.
Things are very well here. We had a full camp for the full moon with calm warm weather. Its wonderful to share images and thoughts of some of the special places on the planet, and I repeat my offer to visit us whenever you are back in the NW.k
yeah for sure, when i first got out here i was planning on skiing, but had never really had the chance to try anything involving snow for the prior years of my life. so i was trying to buy skis and got a set but never had enough money to get bindings and boots and all that good stuff and a friend i met here found out i was broke and not gettin to get on the mountain at all for like 4 weeks or so, so he had an extra snowboard and just lent it to me supposedly until i got my skis set up. but after a week of bustin my ass hard i kind of started likin it, so i stuck with the board and ended up buyin the one he gave me to borrow for a great deal. honestly i came out here more for the mountaineering and climbing, but while im havin to wait out the snow and ice, figure ill have some fun on both. and yeah where from the east coast are ya from? and i bet your daughter would love it, how old is she? skiin is definitely alot of fun, im super lucky to have gotten the hookup i did, despite the fact that vail is kind of a yuppy town, but its cool the locals out here are pretty heady folk. and i have never heard of the day park you talked bout but will check it out, and you should try gettin back on a board, i dont know how much you leg would appreciate that, but if its doable you should definitely consider. good stress relief flying down a mtn, and quite the adrenaline rush when huckin cliffs and shit, great way to get the blood flowin in the morning ;)
